Our Behavioral Health Treatment programs are customized to meet each individual's specific needs. During each session, caregivers/parents receives guidance on how certain tasks are performed. Once a task is carried out properly, further reinforcement is used to strengthen the learning and help increase confidence and independence. Caregivers/parents also learn specific intervention techniques from behavior and learning theories to effectively maintain and increase newly acquired skills. The caregivers/parents training portion of each of our programs teaches new skills with intensive training. BABC's Behavioral Health Treatment services includes a variety of behavioral interventions that are evidence-based approaches that prevent or minimize the adverse effects of behaviors that interfere with learning, social interaction and day-to-day activities.
BABC's PROGRAMS ARE UNIQUE AND INDIVIDUALIZED TO EACH PERSON.
BABC's Adaptive Skills Training program is designed to assist and foster important adaptive milestones and daily living skills. Adaptive Skills Training is meant for those who need assistance in mastering daily tasks and routines. Our AST program focuses on functional living skills, concurrent to problematic behaviors.
Bay Area Behavioral Connection offers Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA operates from learning theory, operant conditioning, and classical conditioning that aims to improve socially important behaviors by using evidence-based interventions that are systematically applied to increase functional and adaptive behaviors. BABC focuses on the application of specific ABA interventions to shape and modify various forms of behaviors that are described as excessive or maladaptive.
BABC offers Behavior Management Consultation services within schools, communities, group-homes, day programs and institutional settings to address a wide range of behavioral concerns. BABC offers on-site direct observation and training, data collection, documentation and program reviews, functional behavior assessment and devise appropriate recommendations for behavior identification, intervention plans and implementation of these support plans. Our consultation services are based on a goal-oriented direction allowing us to meet the needs of each individual and the institutions we serve.
BABC provides Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluation services for children ages 0-18 years needing developmental and neuro-developmental screening diagnostic services. BABC provides a comprehensive battery of developmental evaluations to identify and create appropriate intervention services and recommendations for children with developmental and neurodevelopmental delays, concerns and disorders.
Our individualized parent/caregiver training and Early Intervention program is focused to support children ages 0-3. BABC's treatment team of Early Intervention Specialists collaborate with parents to address concerns around cognitive, physical, adaptive, social emotional and communication development. BABC emphasizes on the importance of parent/caregiver participation in the progression of each child's treatment. BABC provides and assists parents to create opportunities and foster a teaching environment that is conducive for learning and growth to meet each milestone.
Occupational Therapy focuses to address developmental delays to foster and increase fine and gross motor skills. Occupational Therapy provides parents with training as part of our program to ensure program consistency.
Our Social skills Group program is individualized to each group. We focus on healthy and positive interactions among each child with his/her volunteer, typical peers, and one-on-one Therapist. The curriculum within each Social skills Group is developed to match the ability of each child. BABC promote individualized attention within a social setting so that every child receives 1:1 attention from his/her Behavior Interventionist and when available, with typical peer support.
Our Speech Therapy program is conducted in 1:1 setting and offers the direct training of those with communication delays and disorder. Speech Therapy focuses on Expressive, Receptive and Pragmatic communication.
Our individualized parent training and consultation programs ensure that parents received well-rounded trainings to succeed and progress in our programs. BABC emphasizes on the importance of parent participation in the progression of each treatment. BABC provides and assists parents to create opportunities and foster a teaching environment that is conducive for learning. Parents learn to understand the nature of each behavior, all while learning how to decrease challenging behaviors.
